BREAK WITH YOUR PAST; DO THAT FAST

You've surely got some past,
And everyone does
And, you've done some wrong, some right in that past,
And everyone has

We've all got pasts
As time-line casts
And as space lasts

But past is not
All that you've got
Since also your lot
Are future, present, and thought

And with these three
Against that one
I can have a pedigree
That's second to none
And seem as if good's all I've done
By the time I'm gone

Now, I invest wisely
By giving up one
To take up three
And greatly be born

Greater than the past I regret
Is the future I stand to get
On this, I can anything bet.

So, rather than go on to regret
It's only wise, right now, to forget
The past I regret, and get
Rid of any thought, act and word I hate
And go for all the goods in the future I can get

I start doing just this just yet,
There are brief years to live and let
So, I don't just wait.

The kiddy version of this rhyme goes like this:

Break with your past,
Do that fast
You will right all wrongs at last
Break with your past,
Do that fast
'Cos your future is so vast

A video of the original tune with which this kiddy rhyme was composed will soon be out. The link is going to be posted here. So, you can subscribe for free to get it when it is ready (Look around this site for the 'subscribe' link). An alternative is to join The RhymeSpeak Facebook Group and you will be notified when the video is ready. It could be as soon as tomorrow or next week.
